Enjoy Your Favorite "Secret" Restaurant Dishes At Home

I love to search for, try out and teak new recipes and my favorites are so-called copycat restaurant recipes. There's just something about being able to recreate those dishes right in my own kitchen.

For one thing, it really impresses my friends when they come over for a dinner party, but it also saves me quite a bit of money and at the same time I don't have to give up my favorite foods.

Below I'll share some of my favorites ... feel free to try them yourself, change them, tweak them and make them just perfect for your own tastebuds.

Outback Steakhouse Style Steak Recipe

  • 4  rib eye steaks

Spice Rub

  • 8 teaspoons salt
  • 4 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

Make the spice rub by combining all seasonings in a small bowl. Mix until they are well combined, then generously rub them on the steaks. Cook the steaks on the grill over high heat to sear them, then finish cooking them to your liking over medium heat.

Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes before serving so the juices can redistribute throughout the meat.

Olive Garden Chicken Marsala Copy Cat Recipe

  • 2    Chicken breast (cut in half and pounded flat)
  • 1/4  cup flour
  • 1/2  teaspoon  Salt
  • 1/2  teaspoon  Oregano
  • 4  tablespoons  Oil
  • 4  tablespoons  Butter or margarine
  • 1  cup  Fresh mushroom, sliced
  • 1/2  cup  Marsala wine

Get out a shallow plate and pur the flour, salt pepper and oregano in it. Use your fingertips to stir the spices into the flour until they are well combined.

Heat the oil ad butter in a skillet over medium high heat.

Lay the chicken in the flour mixutre, turn it over so all sides are covered. Gently lay the chicken in the pan and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until it is just starting to brown. Add the mushrooms to the pan and pur the wine in. Allow the mixture to simmer, covered for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is done and the mushrooms are tender.
